And it's about time.There have been rumors for years that Harbor Freight was working on a 212 Predator 212cc Ghost Kart Racing engine. Well as of March 15th 2022, it looks like those rumors are true. This will be a smart move for Harbor Freight tools for several reasons. If they get onboard with the various Kart Racing Organizations it would be a great day for everyone. Briggs and Stratton did something like this years ago and it was likely the best thing they could have done to promote not only the sport of racing but they also promoted their engines as well, which still have an almost religious following to this day. (I know because I am one) So far I can tell you just by looking, the Predator Ghost 212 engine has a PZ20 slide carburetor installed, no fuel tank. It has a top plate installed for the kart throttle linkage and external fuel pump to mount/rest. I can't see an external fuel pump so whether one is included or not is a question still to answer. It's looks to have a DUCAR HEMI cylinder head, at least the valve cover is a direct match for the DUCAR HEMI. This would make sense, and we now know that DUCAR is building the Predator 224 engines for Harbor Freight, it's highly likely DUCAR is also building the New Predator 212 Ghost engines as well. But I won't know if the Ghost 212 is indeed a DUCAR like the Predator 224 until I get a closer look. There's only so much detail in the photo. As to what's on the inside, if there's enough interest we'll find out when it gets here. I don't expect to be the first to open one up as the Coastal US States will likely receive shipments of the Predator 212 Ghost engines before we do in Kentucky. But, my personal observation and description of the internal and external parts will be detailed and if there are any hidden secrets inside, we'll expose them together.Ghost 212 SKU # 57531Release Date: 04-11-2022 April 11th 2022 *****Latest Release date UPDATE released on APRIL 8th 2022!*****Possible SKU # 57531 for the Predator Ghost 212 it is listed at the end of the product page link that Harbor Freight scrubbed the other day AND I did see it again on their website on 03-31-2022. They did the same thing before, scrubbed the Predator 224 engine link info just prior to release of the 224, the SKU # from that product link WAS still accurate when it went live again.
